Sunday School

Our Sunday school class meets during the school year before Worship at 9:30am. Our time together provides us the opportunity to prepare for Worship. We learn the day’s scripture and discuss the themes we will hear in the sanctuary. Our faith-filled Elementary lessons are fun and exciting ways to prepare our hearts for Worship through playing games, creating artworks, hearing music, and reading stories together.

Worship Childcare

Childcare is provided every Sunday. The nursery space is delightful! We continue to introduce new toys and art supplies. It is a creative and welcoming environment for our families of young children (ages 0-5). Our PreK Sunday School, called Little Ones leaves during Worship following the Young Disciples Moment. Here we incorporate music, play, and artistic expression with stories from the Bible. The Children are escorted out of the sanctuary into the nursery for the duration of Worship.

Worship Kits

We provide Worship Kits during worship which are filled with toys and activities for young children. Additionally we offer two children's bulletins (for ages 3-6 and 7-12 years old) that relate specifically to the weekly scripture reading used in worship. The colorful bulletins also have a website and special code to play online games at home during the week that will reinforce the message used in Sunday’s Worship.

Our Worship Reflection Notebooks for our older youth during Worship have weekly handouts that provide them insight to the weekly scripture and guidance to the themes they will hear. There are colored pencils, pencils, blank pages, and lined pages for them to write or draw and respond to their experience during worship in their own way.

Community Youth

The last Sunday of the month, we have combined our efforts with neighboring churches to design opportunities to socialize and reflect on our spiritual journeys with peers in faith. This program is designed for our older elementary age kids to junior/high school students who have graduated up to more of a youth group type of experience. We gather for lunch, reflect on a faithful discussion, and then participating in activities like canoeing, decorating pumpkins, and other fun experiences.

Perry Playdates

Perry Playdates is designed for children 5 and younger. A wide variety of books, toys and games, art activities, and a bouncy house is available within the larger indoor space to play. This a free program and open to the public where supervision is required. Many of the caregivers and children have been regularly attending each Monday and offer a loving environment to one another to chat and build friendships.

Parents Night Out

Our Parents’ Night Out runs quarterly with an average of 25 children and 10 volunteers for each of our events. It has been an amazing opportunity for our neighborhood families to connect with one another and for us to connect with our families in a very fun and energetic way. Parents now rely on this opportunity to take time for self-care and to socialize while their children have a chance to play with other kids in a safe space.
